ビクトリー・スクエア記念碑は1924年に建立された。Pender、Cambie、Hamilton通りに面した三角柱の碑にはそれぞれ碑文が彫り込まれている。この場所には裁判所があったが、1911から13年にかけて解体され、その後裁判所は今の美術館の建物、750 Hornby通りに移った。この記念碑のある場所は第一次大戦に調印した裁判所のテーブルがあった場所で、とてもカナダの歴史上重要な場所である。
Victory Square Cenotaph was erected in 1924. The inscriptions were engraved on the triangular prism shape cenotaph faced to each street, Pender, Cambie and Hamilton. This place had been a courthouse which was torn down in 1911-13 before the courthouse moved to 750 Hornby St in. The site of the Cenotaph is significant because it was at tables at the foot of the old courthouse steps where men signed up for WW I in 1914.
