オルフェウム劇場 / Orpheum Theater

この劇場は1927年寄席演劇場としてオープンし、当時カナダで最も大きな劇場であった。1930年代前半に寄席としての劇場の役割は一度終わってしまう。そこから1973年まで映画館として使われる。1973年、劇場は多目的用途の劇場として改装され、1977年に再びオープンする。表のネオン管は1970年代に寄付されたもの。また建築家はW.Hastingsにあったパンテージズ劇場も設計している。
The theater, has opened as a vaudeville house in 1927, was the largest theater in Canada at that time. The heyday ended once in the early 1930s. Since that, it had been used as a movie house until 1973. In the year, the theater was changed into multiplex because of the public protest and fundraising campaign, and it reopened in 1977. The electric sign on facade was donated in the 1970s. The architect also designed Pantages Theater on W. Hastings.
