パンテージーズ劇場 / Pantages Theater

1908年、パンテージーズ劇場はシアトルの劇場に続く形でオープンした。これはグレートバンクーバー中、また数あるパンテージ劇場の中でも北米では最も古い劇場である（ピーク時には70以上の劇場を経営していたおり、バンクーバーにももう一つあったが駐車場を作るため解体された）。1910年代には、27もの劇場がバンクーバーにあった。この重厚な雰囲気とすばらしい内装は歴史的な建物として認められるべきであり、保存に向けた運動も起きている。現在外見は廃れているが、リノヴェーションが進行中で2010年に再びオープンする予定である。
In 1908, the Pantages Theater which was the following theater of the one in Seattle opened. It is the oldest theater in Greater Vancouver, and also the oldest Pantages Theater in North America (at the peak, they ran more than 70 theaters, and one more theater used to be on W. Hastings (1917-1967) destroyed to make parking lot). In the 1910s, there were 27 theaters in Vancouver. There are many preserving act because its significance and elaborate interior design should be recognized as a heritage. The appearance is ruined now, though the renovation is supposed to be undergoing and revival for 2010.
