バンクーバーのいろは坂 ! / ABC Slope !

"バンクーバーのいろは坂"。実は言うほど大したものでもないが、とてつもなく無駄に折り返された、不思議で理解し難いスロープだ。なぜなら逆の歩道には普通のスロープがついている。
“Iroha-Zaka” is a winding road which is very famous for super curvy road in Japan. “Iroha” means ABC in Japanese, so I just named it "ABC Slope". It is curious and enigmatic why the only this slope is bended so many times in vain, because the other side of the road has a slope (not bended).

自転車道 / Bikeways

実際、自転車がバンクーバーでの移動手段として最も早い乗り物になりえるだろう。ダウンタウン周辺でどこへ行こうが、大抵の裏通りには自転車道がはしっている。そして信号も、車も人も少ない。自転車道を有効に使うには自転車やで手に入る自転車マップと自転車を乗せられるバスを利用すればとても便利になる。この自転車道はバンクーバー市が推進しているコンパクトシティやエコフレンドリーの政策の一環だろう。
